Human Trafficking

To: Sen. Markey, Rep. Neal, Sen. Warren

From: A constituent in Ware, MA

May 14

The administration's plan to deploy hundreds more federal agents for intensified immigration enforcement is alarming and runs counter to American values of equality and human rights for all. Redirecting resources from investigating serious crimes to target undocumented immigrants tears families apart and spreads fear in communities. This approach is costly, inhumane, and does little to address the root causes driving migration. Instead, we should prioritize creating legal pathways for immigration, addressing the factors that compel people to leave their home countries, and treating all people with dignity and respect regardless of nationality or status. Comprehensive immigration reform that provides a path to citizenship and upholds our nation's diversity is the moral and practical solution. I urge you to oppose this misguided escalation of interior enforcement and instead work towards just and humane policies.
