I’m writing because ICE’s ongoing violence, rights violations, unconstitutional aggression and unlawful detentions demands immediate oversight. No agency should operate without transparency or accountability, especially when constitutional protections are at stake. To address this urgent issue, I’m asking you to: • Withhold approval of the upcoming federal budget unless ICE’s funding is significantly reduced. • Support a freeze on ICE enforcement activities until the agency accounts for every person detained and demonstrates compliance with constitutional standards. • Demand full transparency and public reporting of ICE arrests, detentions, and transfers. • Use your authority to ensure no agency operates above the law.
