Demand Full Border Wall Contract Oversight Now I am a voting constituent writing to call your attention to the gross lack of accountability, ethics, and legal adherence plaguing federal border wall contracts. A damning investigative report by ProPublica reveals that the administration has awarded a staggering $9 billion in new contracts to Fisher Sand & Gravel—the very company responsible for a structurally deficient, eroding segment of the wall that engineering experts warned was at risk of collapsing into the Rio Grande. It is a slap in the face to American taxpayers that a contractor with a history of environmental violations, ties to the fraudulent We Build the Wall campaign, and a record of shoddy construction is being continuously rewarded with billions of our dollars. Worse yet, the procurement process has been deliberately obscured by waiving dozens of critical financial transparency and competitiveness laws. Silence on this matter is complicity. Congress must immediately intervene to restore legal compliance, enforce rigorous ethics standards, and mandate total transparency in these bidding processes. We need aggressive, public oversight hearings now. Stop allowing political cronyism and corporate incompetence to siphon billions under the guise of national security.
