Democrat lawmakers just sold out the American people for NOTHING. Why in the world would Democrats cave on the government shutdown now? You've proven yet again that the party is absolutely clueless. You had all the power to fight back against the current regime. Polling shows that Americans blamed Republicans for the shut down. You could have held the line to keep 42 million of us from losing healthcare, and instead YOU SOLD US OUT and decided to let us continue to be abused by the corporate shills in power. Even worse, by caving to Republican demands, you've disenfranchised the voters who worked so hard to get the amazing election wins for Democrats last week. DEMOCRATS HELD ALL THE CARDS, BUT ONCE AGAIN SHOT YOURSELVES AND THE AMERICAN PEOPLE IN THE FOOT. It's absolutely unacceptable. Hold Chuck Shumer accountable and call for his immediate resignation. The lawmakers who broke ranks may not be up for reelection, but YOU ARE, and democrat and progressive voters are sick of this party Spectacularly failing them time and again.
