Platner's sporting of a Nazi tattoo for more than two decades, along with his early acknowledgement that he knew that it is a Nazi symbol, is an automatic disqualifier not only for his candidacy as US Senator from Maine, but also from the entire Democratic Party. It is imperative that all Democrats denounce him specifically and Naziism in general. Failure to do so will cast politicians as soft on Naziism.
