This is proven: the Endangered Species Act (ESA) is America’s most effective law to protect biodiversity and prevent the extinction of our most vulnerable wildlife – including gray wolves. Since receiving protection under the ESA in the 1970s, gray wolves have made great progress toward recovery, but we now know that they still have a long way to go. And we must do everything we can to protect them and not push forward dangerous legislation that could doom them to extinction. As H.R. 845 makes its way to the Senate, I’m asking you to please take a stand for our imperiled wildlife and oppose it. This bill would not only delist the gray wolf from the ESA, but it would also inherently undermine the integrity of the ESA – making it harder, if not impossible, to achieve the progress we must make to address the alarming rate of extinction our planet now faces. You have a duty to protect our wildlife and the ecosystems they need to thrive. Please take action to protect gray wolves and our only planet before it’s too late by opposing H.R. 845.
