The recently passed Republican budget resolution calling for $4.5 trillion in tax cuts and $2 trillion in federal spending reductions over the next decade is deeply concerning. Providing massive tax breaks that disproportionately benefit the wealthy while forcing drastic cuts to vital social services and programs is fundamentally unjust and harmful to millions of Americans. We must prioritize investing in the well-being of all citizens over further enriching the most privileged. Such an inequitable approach exacerbates economic disparities and undermines efforts to build a more just, equitable society. I urge you to reject this misguided fiscal agenda that sacrifices the vulnerable for the benefit of the affluent few. True leadership demands policies that uplift all Americans, not favor the powerful at the expense of struggling families and communities.
