Investigate White Supremacy in ICE, Ensure Equal Justice

Congress must take swift action to investigate and root out white supremacy within Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The recent revelations about an ICE prosecutor's alleged operation of a racist social media account espousing white supremacist views are deeply concerning. This behavior undermines the integrity of the agency and the fair administration of immigration law. A thorough investigation is needed to identify any broader patterns of racism and hold accountable those who harbor such abhorrent ideologies. Immediate steps must be taken to suspend the prosecutor in question and review all cases they handled. White supremacist ideology has no place in government institutions or the enforcement of laws, which should be applied impartially without regard to race or ethnicity. Restoring public trust requires transparency, decisive action against discriminatory behavior, and robust measures to promote diversity and inclusiveness within ICE's ranks. The persistence of white supremacist elements poses an unacceptable threat to civil rights and equal justice under the law.
