NO!! WE DO NOT WANT NUCLEAR TESTING!! Donald Trump has ordered the Pentagon to “match” Russia and China in nuclear weapons testing — a reckless move that threatens to shatter more than three decades of nuclear restraint. The United States has not conducted a full nuclear test since 1992. Neither Russia nor China has resumed such tests. Trump’s false claims that America is “falling behind” are false (reminiscent of the false claims that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction!). Restarting nuclear tests would endanger civilians, poison land and water, and destabilize international security. Congress must act immediately to block this directive. Support Representative Dina Titus’s pledge to introduce legislation stopping any resumption of nuclear testing. The world cannot afford another nuclear arms race.
