Building a multimillion dollar ballroom while SNAP will run out?
Funds for SNAP are available.
It's time to end Trump's constant violations of the constitution.
Do not capitulate. Hold out to demand that Trump stops usurping congressional power.
Let me remind you of a few facts about SNAP:
SNAP isn't about "people who don't work." It's about people who don't get paid enough to live.
Of the 40 or so million people who rely on food stamps:
* Two-thirds are children, seniors, or disabled
* Most working-age adults who receive SNAP are employed— but in jobs that pay poverty wages
Did you know that over 1.3M active duty service members and veterans rely on SNAP benefits to feed themselves and their families?
86% of all SNAP benefits go to households that include a child, an elderly person, or a person with disabilities?
Or that almost 40% of SNAP
recipients are children?
And that Whites account for 37% of SNAP recipients?
SNAP is probably the most effective federal dollar we spend in terms of long term domestic economic outcomes.
that isn't why you should support it; you should support it because it is a moral
imperative to feed the hungry.
Republicans need to do their job.
Get back to work in the House.
Negotiate with Democrats. That is how the government is supposed to work.
Reread the constitution if you are in the GOP. If you are a Dem, do not capitulate!
All members of Congress should push for the release of the Epstein files. The longer you delay this, the more it looks as if you are doing all you can to shield pedophiles and abusers.
Last time I looked that was not part of your constitutional duty.
