Demand legislation to protect digital privacy and security.

To: Sen. Schumer, Sen. Gillibrand, Rep. Kennedy

From: A constituent in Tonawanda, NY

February 3, 2025

The surveillance and exploitation of personal data by corporations and individuals is an unacceptable violation of privacy rights. Any system granting unauthorized access to private citizens' personal information and government identification, such as social security numbers, poses a severe threat to civil liberties. Preventative action must be taken to safeguard sensitive data from potential misuse or abuse by private entities or individuals, no matter how affluent or influential. Stringent regulations and enforcement are paramount to preserving digital privacy and security in the modern era.
