Stop the strikes on Iran. These are now at least the fourth round of US military attacks since the ceasefire MOU was signed in mid-June, and each round brings us closer to a full-scale war that Trump himself says he doesn't want. Hitting targets across Bushehr, Bandar Abbas, Chabahar, and multiple other sites — with fragments striking a civilian hospital — is not a measured response. It's escalation.
The consequences are already spreading. Oil surged 5.4% in a single day, gasoline futures jumped 5.3%, and commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz has collapsed from roughly 110 vessels per day to fewer than 20. American families will feel this at the pump. The UN Secretary-General is warning of catastrophic consequences, and Iran's foreign minister is promising retaliation. This is a dangerous spiral.
Use your voice and your vote to demand the administration halt these strikes and return to negotiations. Congress has a constitutional role in matters of war. Exercise it.
