By elevating a self-described "MAHA mom" who mirrors RFK Jr.’s skepticism toward life-saving vaccines, this administration is choosing ideological purity over public safety. It is clear that these moves are not about the health of the nation, but about enriching and empowering a band of loyalists and criminals who view federal agencies as personal playgrounds. We are witnessing the systematic dismantling of our public health infrastructure in favor of a fringe agenda that promotes disinformation. When fitness rhetoric is used as a smokescreen for anti-science sentiment, the result isn’t a healthier America; it is a more vulnerable one. The federal government has a duty to protect its citizens using rigorous, evidence-based standards, not to hand over the keys of the FDA to individuals who distrust the very tools that eradicated polio and smallpox. I urge you to use every legislative lever available to oversee these appointments and hold this administration accountable. We cannot allow the wealth and whims of a few influencers to jeopardize the lives of millions.
