Another unchecked act of war

To: Sen. Slotkin, Rep. Bergman, Sen. Peters

It’s alarming that the president has escalated military action against Iran without clear authorization from Congress. The Constitution gives Congress, not one person, the power to decide when we go to war. Furthermore, calling Ali Khamenei “evil” while taking actions that risk civilian lives and regional instability undermines our moral credibility. War is costly, unpredictable, and paid for in both blood and taxpayer dollars. Congress must assert its authority and demand accountability before this conflict deepens.
