Bribery is an impeachable offense. It doesn't matter whether the bribe is made with fraudulent intent. Bribery is illegal under 52 U.S. Code section 10307: (“Whoever . . . pays or offers to pay . . . for voting shall be fined not more than $10,000 or imprisoned not more than five years.”) It is also the second impeachable offense after treason. Read Professor Laurence Tribe: "Bribery is also the second impeachable offense expressly named in the Constitution, right after treason. That is a point worth making. Just in case some people say that it can’t be an impeachable bribe under Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution because the offered financial reward is obviously fake and because 18 U.S. C. Sec. 597 and the separation of powers would prevent President Trump from ever making good on that unlawful offer, the obvious answer is that “bribery” does not become any less impeachable under Article II when it is coupled with fraud and is criminally punishable as well." We the people should not have to beg those we elected to serve us to adhere to their oaths to the Constitution: but we do. I ask you to add bribery to the list of Trump's impeachable offenses and to publicly declare on the platforms available to you that you support impeaching Trump for bribery. Please consider what a simple and incontrovertible case could be made to impeach Trump for bribery. Make that case. Impeach and remove Trump now.
