While I have been a lifelong Democrat, at 70 the party is failing me, my children and my grandchildren. While I have given money to the DNC and individuals, I still wake up to hundreds of messages asking for more. I understand the need to gather funds for the political process, but I have yet to see a united and effective front that I feel confident will not only win the Midterms, but continue to fight the lawless MAGA traitors who are turning this country toward fascism and continued subjugation. Starting with Ken Martin, we see a weak and nearly invisible leader of the party. Schumer, while well meaning, is now a caricature without teeth. Clearly Trump is on his heels, hence the ability to whip votes for discharge petitions. He is losing favor with his staunch supporters. Now is the time to strike. I have yet to see an order of battle. What are you going to do between now and November? Whip votes for a discharge order to support ACA subsidies? Try to for Johnson out? Pick the most likely target for impeachment (Bondi)? What will you do besides ask me for more money, for every state and local race? We see our country turn toward authoritarianism daily. We see people's rights violated and people disappeared. But we see the same old rhetoric daily. There is one focus. Removal of the criminal elements in Congress, SCOTUS and the Executive branch. The plan from the Right has successfully progressed under your noses since Nixon. When is my party going to be as effective at restoring our rights as the Right and Corporations have been in removing them? WHAT. IS. THE. PLAN?
