While I respect his service as a Green Beret and CIA Officer, I am deeply concerned about his past actions and associations, which I believe disqualify him from this critical position. His past statements and actions suggest a willingness to overlook or even endorse extremist behavior, which is antithetical to the values and mission of the National Counter Terrorism Center. In light of these concerns, I urge you to reconsider his nomination and to select a candidate who has demonstrated a consistent and unwavering commitment to combating terrorism in all its forms. Our nation's security depends on the integrity and dedication of its leaders, and Representative Kent's record does not inspire confidence in his ability to fulfill this crucial role.
