Earn-It Act

I urge you to reject the Earn-It Act. The Earn-it act will do nothing to stop communications of child predators. Despite noble intentions it will only violate the fourth amendment rights of every american who communicates online. A backdoor to access online encrypted messages would not only create a means for the government and police department to access private messages but also a means for hackers to do the same. This will violate peoples right to privacy and freedom of speech as companies would restrict speech on their platforms. Child predators use the the TOR network to mask and open source encrypted messages to secure the anonymity allowing them to break the law. You should reject the Earn-it act because it violates American’s constitutional right to privacy and it won't stop the communications of child predators.
