Furthermore, the escalating Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities like Kyiv, resulting in horrific civilian casualties, underscore the urgent need for a resolution that respects Ukraine's territorial integrity and right to self-defense. At the same time, the administration's hostility toward Ukrainian refugees fleeing this violence is unconscionable. The bipartisan Ukrainian Adjustment Act (H.R. 3104) offers a humane solution, providing these displaced individuals with a pathway to safety and citizenship within the United States. I urge you to press the administration to support a truly sovereign Ukraine, oppose any deal that capitulates to Putin's demands, and champion the Ukrainian Adjustment Act to protect those seeking refuge from this brutal war. A just and lasting peace can only be achieved through the active inclusion of Ukraine and respect for its national autonomy.
