Investigate the Trump administration's conduct in the final days before the midterm election, including its undisclosed military strikes and its attempt to suppress lawful votes.
On November 2nd, Trump stood at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool and told the American people that the war with Iran was essentially over and that fighting had stopped months ago. That same day, American forces carried out airstrikes against Iranian targets, and the Wall Street Journal reported that smaller strikes had been ongoing for weeks without public disclosure. That is not a misstatement. That is a lie told to the public on the eve of a national election.
On that same day, Trump's Justice Department filed an emergency request asking the Supreme Court to force California to set aside roughly 20,000 mail-in ballots, based on evidence lower courts had already rejected as unreliable. The Court denied the request in a single sentence, without dissent. The administration tried to strip American citizens of their votes using evidence that courts found unworthy of credence. Both of these actions, the secret strikes and the ballot suppression attempt, warrant serious scrutiny. The public has a right to know what was hidden and why.
