An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Ban anonymity for ICE agents, ensure accountability and transparency

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

The lack of transparency and accountability from ICE agents concealing their identities while conducting raids and arrests is deeply concerning. This anonymity enables abuse, impersonation, and a dangerous erosion of public trust in law enforcement. Basic identification requirements are a matter of public safety that lawmakers must address. I urge you to support and enact legislation like the No Masks for ICE Act to ban immigration officers from hiding their agency affiliation and ensure proper transparency during enforcement actions. Failure to take action allows this climate of fear, chaos, and confusion caused by these anonymous perpetrators to persist unchecked. Restore accountability by requiring the visible display of agent identities when interacting with the public.
