Judges across the country are now openly questioning whether DOJ lawyers can be trusted to tell the truth, calling their behavior "unlawful," "unethical," and "unseemly," according to a July 28 ProPublica investigation. Blanche also put his name to a deal creating a $1.776 billion slush fund to benefit January 6 convicts, paired with a promise not to prosecute Trump or his family for tax crimes. U.S. District Judge Kathleen Williams ruled that deal was filed to "manipulate the judicial process." The Senate must block this nomination and demand accountability — not just a verbal assurance in a confirmation hearing that evaporates the moment Blanche is confirmed.
