As one of your constituents, I am writing to you to beg you to stand up to the President and Musk to stop the destruction of our country. Now we have Musk attending a top-secret Pentagon briefing regarding war plans against China, and this appears to be ok with the Republican Congress. It is not. As much as the administration and Musk lie about what they say they are doing, we all know they are lying. This is just more lying to the American people.
Musk is not a federal employee. He has no authority. DOGE is not sanctioned or approved by Congress. It is a made-up group of people with all the power the corrupt and incapable president chooses to allow him. Musk has no military knowledge or experience regarding information as sensitive as this. He has no business being there. Our national and global defense relies on keeping this closely guarded information safe and secure. You know this. Why does this man have access to this information? It appears that if someone requests access to top-secret information and has enough money to buy it, access to anything is possible. Why are you silent while this goes on?
Additionally, both Trump and Musk are openly attacking the judges who rule against their illegal actions. They are viciously attacking these people, and because they disregard and disrespect the rule of law, other people feel emboldened to do the same. Their safety is at risk. And yet, the Republican party stays silent. Was your plan to wait and let the courts handle all the illegality from the administration? The courts are doing precisely what they are supposed to do, and you are still silent. Trump is purposely trying to undermine the courts and, thus, the legal system, and still, the Republicans are silent. The Democrats aren’t much better. All they can manage is polite criticism while their constituents are demanding purposeful, visible outrage. We want our Democratic representatives to FIGHT!
Your constituents are angry and motivated. We want Congress to stand up and fight back. The courts cannot do this alone. There needs to be resistance in Congress from both parties and both houses. It’s easy for Trump to ignore Congress – they let him. They have abdicated their responsibilities, so he has free reign.
People are organizing. The resistance is palpable. We are going to fight for our country if you aren’t going to, but if you stood up, we could work together and take back the control you have allowed a corrupt leader and his henchmen to steal.
