An open letter to the U.S. House of Representatives

Prioritize people and communities, reject bloated military budget

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

This legislation prioritizes military spending and corporate handouts over meeting the real needs of the American people. The proposed $156 billion increase to the already bloated Pentagon budget is unacceptable, diverting vital resources away from critical domestic priorities like education, healthcare, and combating hunger and poverty. Furthermore, earmarking $25 billion for the "Golden Dome" space defense boondoggle represents a wasteful giveaway to private companies like SpaceX, lining the pockets of billionaires rather than serving the public good. I urge you to reject this misguided legislation and instead focus on investing in programs that uplift working families and strengthen our communities. Our nation's budget should reflect our values of prioritizing people over profits and corporations.
