An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Repeal ICE Funding and Abolish the Agency

2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

Repeal funding for ICE and call for the abolition of the agency. The One Big Beautiful Bill handed ICE and CBP over $170 billion through fiscal year 2029 with essentially no guardrails or oversight, making them the best-funded law enforcement agencies in the country. Taxpayer dollars should not be used to terrorize communities and carry out state-sanctioned violence by reckless federal agents from lawless agencies. On July 8, 2026, a federal agent shot and killed Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a 52-year-old father of three who had lived in the U.S. for 35 years. DHS released no evidence to support its account of the shooting. He was at least the eighth person killed by immigration enforcement during this administration, and not one officer has been charged in any of these deaths. Full, independent investigations into every one of these killings must happen before another dollar flows to these agencies. Abolish ICE.
