Demand Accountability for the Administration's Pattern of Deliberate Deception

You need to speak up — loudly and on the record — about the relentless dishonesty coming out of this White House. This isn't spin. Trump lied to the press about a confirmed Iranian assassination threat, denied any security concern existed, and used Cabinet members and journalists as unwitting decoys. When the danger passed, he kept lying anyway. That's not politics. That's contempt for the public.
The ballroom scandal makes it worse. The Washington Post reports the total cost of White House "improvements" will exceed $900 million — none of it appropriated by Congress as required by law. Trump promised it wouldn't cost taxpayers a cent. Instead, his administration quietly moved roughly $600 million from other agencies, including funds earmarked for Secret Service training. Meanwhile, the Department of Defense is claiming zero civilian deaths in Caribbean and Pacific military strikes that killed more than 120 people, according to The Intercept.
Your constituents are not stupid. Grocery bills, gas prices, and unemployment numbers are receipts that don't lie. The midterms are coming, and people are paying attention. Silence from Congress on this pattern of deliberate deception is its own kind of complicity. Call it what it is and demand accountability now.
