An open letter to the President & U.S. Congress

Hold Republicans Accountable for Their Economic Record

174 so far! Help us get to 250 signers!

The numbers don't lie, and it's time you started saying them out loud. From 1989 to 2026, Democratic presidents created 49.8 million jobs. Republicans created 1.9 million. That's not a rounding error — that's a pattern. Democrats have also outperformed Republicans on median household income, GDP growth, the Dow Jones, and deficit reduction. Dramatically so. Yet I almost never hear a Democrat in office say any of this. The last three Republican presidents each handed their successor an economic catastrophe. Bush I gave us a double-dip recession and the savings and loan scandal. Bush II nearly collapsed the global financial system. Trump's first term ended with a pandemic-driven economic meltdown. Now we're in Trump's second term, and the economy is tanking again. This is not coincidence — it's a record. Start treating it like one. Use these numbers. Say them publicly and often. Voters are finally paying attention, and this is the moment to make the case.
