Investigate Meta's Suppression of Democratic Voices Before the Midterms

Investigate Meta's pattern of silencing political speech ahead of the midterm election. Representatives Garcia and Raskin have already demanded that Mark Zuckerberg explain why the No Kings Instagram account was suspended during the October 17 rallies encouraging Americans to vote. That question deserves a real answer, not a corporate shrug about automated systems.
Meta's "technical glitch" explanation strains credibility. The same company appears to have suppressed pro-Lula accounts in Brazil's election while boosting pro-Bolsonaro content, and Lula still won by more than 4 million votes because organizers fought back. Now Florida Senate candidate Angie Nixon reports her campaign's Instagram page was taken down mid-rally in Osceola County, seven days before Election Day, while she was mobilizing Latino voters. These incidents share a pattern: accounts promoting opposition to Trump and his allies go dark at critical moments.
Zuckerberg and Meta have documented financial interests in government contracts, which gives them every incentive to cooperate with those in power. That is not a conspiracy theory. It is a conflict of interest that demands scrutiny. A free election requires that voters can hear from all candidates. Demand answers from Meta now, before another account disappears and another community loses its voice.
