Oppose Cuts-Clean Energy Programs & Climate Protections-“One Big Beautiful Bill"

Clean energy investments are crucial for creating jobs, reducing energy costs, and addressing climate change – yet H.R. 1 would dismantle these vital programs. Gutting clean energy tax credits and rebates will drive up energy bills for American families by over $400 per year on average. Repealing the Inflation Reduction Act's transformative investments will kill hundreds of thousands of clean energy jobs when we should be rapidly expanding this booming industry. The bill also eliminates key environmental justice initiatives and pollution monitoring that protect vulnerable communities. Slashing these programs to fund tax breaks for the wealthy and fossil fuel giveaways is unconscionable. I urge you to reject H.R. 1 and instead pass a responsible budget that supports working families, creates good jobs, lowers costs, and safeguards our air, water and climate. Americans overwhelmingly want a transition to clean energy - this destructive legislation moves us in the opposite direction.
