Public broadcasting is a pillar of democracy, and yet once again, PBS and NPR are under attack by those who would rather the American people remain uninformed. YOU MUST refuse to let that happen.
PBS and NPR are among the few remaining news sources that are accessible to all, free from corporate influence, and committed to fact-based reporting. They ensure that quality journalism is not locked behind paywalls, allowing every American—regardless of income—to stay informed. This is essential for a functioning democracy.
The right-wing attacks on PBS and NPR are nothing more than a desperate attempt to silence the truth. The reason conservatives claim these outlets are “biased” is simple: PBS and NPR report facts, and the modern right continually finds itself condemned by those facts. If they don’t like what they hear, perhaps they should stop enacting policies that harm their own constituents.
Cutting funding to public broadcasting is an attack on education, on democracy, and on the fundamental right to knowledge. It is an authoritarian move, meant to deprive the public of the information they need to hold power accountable. Do not let it happen.
