An open letter to State Legislatures (Pa. only)

No Data Center in Cumru Township!

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

On May 14, 2026 the Reading Eagle reported that there are plans underway to transform the former Titus Generating Station in Cumru Township into an artificial intelligence data center. It should go without saying that this is a terrible idea and should not be allowed. We have seen data centers built all across the country. They have contaminated water, spiked electrical bills, generated noise and light pollution, and overall degraded property value of the surrounding land. I live a few short miles from this site, I do not want a data center in my backyard. These facilities enrich corporations while providing zero benefit to the community. I ask that you do whatever you can to stop this data center and others like it from being built in Pennsylvania. We do not want them. We do not know what the long-term negative effect on the environment and surrounding wildlife these facilities will cause. We have a beautiful state and it is your duty to protect it. Put people before profits and do not allow these data centers to be built in our communities.
