An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Demand the Immediate Release of Billions in K-12 Funding

7 so far! Help us get to 10 signers!

The Trump administration's decision to withhold nearly $7 billion in congressionally-approved K-12 education funding is unacceptable and harmful to America's children and families. This funding impoundment creates chaos for schools and jeopardizes critical programs including after-school and summer learning opportunities, support for migrant students, professional development for educators, English language acquisition, and classroom technology improvements. Blocking the disbursement of funds that have already been allocated is unconstitutional. As constituents, we deserve a government that prioritizes the education and well-being of all children, not just the privileged few. I urge immediate action to secure the release of these essential funds without further delay. Denying access to public education goes against the principles of our nation.
