Block Trump's USPS Rules That Would Gut Mail-In Voting

Fight back against the Trump administration's attempt to weaponize the Postal Service against voters. The new USPS rules stemming from Trump's March 2026 executive order would require states to hand over voter lists to the federal government just to have mail ballots delivered — and states that refuse risk losing mail ballot delivery entirely. This is a federal takeover of election administration, plain and simple.
Courts have already seen through this scheme. Eight courts ruled against the Justice Department when it sued 30 states to obtain this exact same voter data. Amanda Gonzalez, the Jefferson County, Colorado clerk, called the USPS rule "a poorly disguised ploy" to get what the DOJ couldn't get through litigation. The DHS citizenship lists this order also mandates have already been flagged for falsely identifying eligible voters as non-citizens — meaning these lists could be used to pressure states into illegal voter purges.
Maine's Secretary of State warns this could mean the "virtual elimination of mail-in voting." That's not hyperbole — it's the point. Support the legal challenge, use every legislative tool available to defund implementation of this rule, and make clear that federal agencies do not get to hold ballot delivery hostage to extract voter data.
