An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Move to Impeach Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth

18 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

Move to impeach Pete Hegseth. He has openly encouraged our military to commit war crimes, compromised classified national security information in the "Signalgate" scandal, and is using his position to advance Christian nationalist ideology throughout the armed forces. The Military Religious Freedom Foundation has received over 200 complaints across more than 40 units about military officials using end-times Christian rhetoric to justify war. This is not normal political disagreement — it is an abuse of power. Hegseth has gutted Pentagon oversight offices to stall independent investigations, eliminated the Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services, and announced reduced consequences for sexual misconduct and war crimes. He gave explicit orders to kill survivors of an allegedly illegal strike against a Venezuelan boat. He threatened journalists for reporting information not pre-approved by the Pentagon. Every one of these actions warrants investigation and accountability. Start the process now.
