Today is the trump administration's second day, and there is already chaos. Where to begin? The largest, most powerful military in the world is under the direction of an acting Secretary of Defense because no one viable has been appointed. What does that tell our adversaries the world over. If something unthinkable happens who to blame?
Taking away birthright citizenship. Has anyone considered that NONE of us would be here if the Fourteenth Amendment didn't protect that? Most Americans have ancestry who came here as parents, grandparents, or great-grandparents, and we are all Americans because of the Fourteenth Amendment. Because Trump and his henchmen (Stephen Miller, chief hate monger) don't want people who are not white, this has to change. This is a minority view of the American people. Most Americans do not want this to happen.
Finally, and the most appalling action is the pardoning of over one thousand convicted felons who actively took part in the insurrection of January 6. Most Americans, including Democrats and Republicans, over 70%, did not want this to happen. This is shameful.
You, our elected officials, must do the right thing. Stand up to the injustices that will be coming. You were elected to protect your constituents, but this is not protection. This makes the people of Florida fearful, and maybe that's what you are after. If that's the case, abusing your position and power is abhorrent.
