Block Increase for ICE and Mass Deportation in the "One Big Beautiful Bill" Act

The increased funding for ICE and Trump's mass deportation agenda in the proposed "One Big Beautiful Bill" Act is deeply concerning. Expanding detention facilities, hiring thousands more ICE officers, militarizing border enforcement, and raising exorbitant legal fees will enable unlawful detention and deportation of immigrants without due process on an unprecedented scale. This is a violation of constitutional rights and human rights. Instead of bankrolling such unethical and unconstitutional activities to the tune of $155.2 billion, we should be holding ICE accountable for its rampant abuses and enacting immigration reform that provides a fair and humane pathway to legal status. Disappearing hard-working immigrants who are following the rules is immoral and antithetical to American values. I urge you to reject this draconian crackdown on immigration and vote against any budget that increases funding for ICE's mass deportation operations. Prioritize human rights, due process and comprehensive immigration solutions over mistreatment and expulsion of vulnerable populations.
