An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Repeal ICE Funding and Abolish the Agency

45 so far! Help us get to 50 signers!

Repeal funding for ICE and call for the abolition of the agency. The 'One Big Beautiful Bill' handed ICE and CBP over $170 billion through 2029 with virtually no oversight, making them the best-funded law enforcement agencies in the country — and the results are deadly. On July 8, 2026, a federal agent shot and killed Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a 52-year-old father of three who had lived here for 35 years. He is at least the eighth person killed by immigration enforcement under this administration. Not one officer has been charged. Taxpayer dollars should not fund agencies that terrorize communities and carry out state-sanctioned violence with zero accountability. DHS released no evidence to support its account of Araujo's killing. That's not law enforcement — that's impunity. Demand full, independent investigations into these deaths and use your platform to push for abolishing ICE entirely.
