An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Repeal ICE Funding and Abolish the Agency

39 so far! Help us get to 50 signers!

Repeal ICE's funding and call for the agency's abolition. The 'One Big Beautiful Bill' handed ICE and CBP over $170 billion through 2029 with virtually no oversight, making them the best-funded law enforcement agencies in the country — and the results are deadly. On July 8, 2026, a federal agent shot and killed Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a 52-year-old father of three who had lived here for 35 years. He was at least the eighth person killed by immigration enforcement under this administration. Not one officer has been charged. My tax dollars should not fund agencies that terrorize communities and carry out state-sanctioned violence with zero accountability. Demand a full, independent investigation into these killings, and take concrete steps to defund and dismantle ICE.
