Oppose Wasteful and Harmful NDAA Provisions

Vote against the harmful provisions packed into this year's NDAA. The $1.5 trillion Pentagon budget in H.R. 8800 and S. 4784 is the largest inflation-adjusted defense budget in American history, and it's loaded with wasteful and dangerous additions that have nothing to do with real security. Section 1217 would give Israel unprecedented access to American military technology and force integration of Israeli defense systems into our own supply chain — a significant entanglement with a foreign government's military that Congress has no business mandating. The Golden Dome missile shield carries an estimated $1.2 trillion price tag over 20 years and is unlikely to ever be fully operational. Renaming the Department of Defense to the Department of War would cost up to $125 million. The new "Trump-class" battleship program has been called strategically indefensible by defense experts. And the anti-trans amendments stripping TRICARE coverage and banning trans students from sports target servicemembers and their families for no military reason whatsoever. These are vanity projects and ideological attacks dressed up as defense policy. Pass a responsible budget that addresses genuine security needs and strip out these provisions.
