I expected you to fight for us. You talk about working people, about grit and backbone — but when the moment came, you blinked. You voted to reopen the government without demanding any real protection for the Affordable Care Act credits that keep so many of us alive.
I don’t care if Senator Schumer gave you his silent blessing. Your constituents need you to hold the line and fight for healthcare. We can’t cave to corporations. We can’t cave to Republican bullies. We can’t keep letting the most vulnerable be the first sacrificed every time the word shutdown is whispered.
You were elected to be a wall — not a revolving door. Every vote that trades people’s health for political comfort tells struggling families that we are expendable. That’s not why we sent you to Washington.
We needed a fighter. Instead, we got a shrug dressed up as pragmatism.
Prove me wrong, Senator. Show us you still remember who you’re there for.
