I am writing to ask why the Republican party remains silent in the face of a blatant coup of our government. Every day, we see more and more evidence of the control and takeover of the systems that regulate and run our country. The latest move is to undermine the judiciary.
Federal judges are stopping Musk and Trump from accessing America's records from the Treasury Department computers. This is something the Republican House and Senate should be doing, and yet they are silent. Once again, their silence makes them complicit in the takeover. That judges are doing their jobs and protecting the rule of law does not make this a judicial coup, as Senator Mike Lee has claimed.
The Republicans have the power to do the right thing. If changes need to be made, they have every lever of change at their disposal but choose not to use those legal powers. Instead, they rely on the henchman, Elon Musk, to do their dirty work. If what he does is not to their liking, they then rely on the courts to step up rather than doing what they were elected to do: protect the people, democracy, and the country.
Elon Musk has had investigations into the practices and violations of all of his companies. The FAA, SEC, DOJ, NHTSA, EPA, NLRB, FTC, and USAID have all launched investigations into Musk and his companies. And yet, the Republican party ignored that information and allowed Must to rip apart the country so he could get to Mars.
The people of America deserve representation and protection from the dangerous decisions made by a man not elected or appointed, vetted in any way, or has any level of security clearance. It is your responsibility to step up and speak out. Regarding egregious behavior at this magnitude, what party a constituent belongs to is irrelevant. It doesn't matter if you are Republican or Democrat. Our representatives must do the right thing and stop the damage by speaking out. It is time to place country above all things. Republicans' selfish lack of action in the case of such an attack in order to secure their positions will mean nothing when a deranged madman is in charge of the country, and I'm not referring to the current president but his sidekick, Eon Musk.
What the Republican party is doing is obvious: they are not fooling anyone, and it's shameful and cowardly. Contrary to why Senator Scott thinks the Democrats are so angry, we are not angry because we are in the 'anger phase' of coming to terms with the 'fact' we were wrong. We are angry because we are watching the Republican party stand silently by while they let thugs steal the country. All the while, they know what's happening and do nothing for fear of consequences to yourself. They are shameful.
It is up to every member of Congress to step up and fight for the country
