An open letter to the U.S. Congress

PROTECT PRIVACY—STOP AUTISM REGISTRY

2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

Robert F Kennedy Jr.’s proposed autism registry raises MASSIVE concerns over privacy and civil liberties and should alarm everyone. Accessing private medical data without consent, including prescription records, lab results, and genetic information, is a blatant violation of HIPAA protections. Autism is a neurological condition, not a disease to be tracked. Compiling such sensitive data on individuals solely based on their neurological status is discriminatory and evokes parallels to Nazi Germany. Instead of perpetuating stigma we should prioritize understanding and support for the autism community. Resources would be better directed toward promoting acceptance, accommodating diverse needs, and empowering individuals to thrive. I urge you to speak out and do whatever you can to STOP this dangerous registry that undermines medical privacy and targets a vulnerable population. You MUST uphold civil liberties and human rights for all citizens.
