An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Uphold constitutional rights in immigration reform

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

The President's recent comments calling into question the need to provide due process and uphold constitutional rights are alarming and an apparent violation of his oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution. Suggesting that enforcing his political agenda may take precedence over judicial oversight and basic civil liberties guaranteed by the Fifth Amendment sets a dangerous precedent that undermines the foundation of our legal system. His expressed willingness to disregard court rulings requiring fair hearings and ignore constitutional protections for certain groups or individuals is unacceptable from any public official, let alone the President. I urge you to speak out forcefully against these statements and any policies or actions that violate constitutional rights. Furthermore, the President's apparent disregard for his sworn duties is an impeachable offense that warrants initiation of impeachment proceedings to preserve the separation of powers and uphold the rule of law.
