Demand Accountability for Todd Blanche's Corrupt DOJ

The Senate's confirmation of Todd Blanche as Attorney General is a direct assault on the rule of law, and I expect you to use every tool available to hold him accountable. This is not hyperbole. Blanche is already overseeing a DOJ that files collusive litigation, makes false representations to federal judges, and targets protesters with federal conspiracy charges — not because they broke the law, but because they oppose this President. Thirty-five former federal judges — appointed by both Democratic and Republican presidents — filed a brief arguing Blanche may have committed fraud on the court. That is extraordinary. Meanwhile, his DOJ is investigating journalists and their sources, targeting elected officials conducting oversight, and refusing to investigate documented ICE abuses including racial profiling and use of excessive force. Blanche denied none of this during his confirmation hearings. Every American who speaks out, protests, or simply does their job in opposition to this administration now does so knowing the full weight of federal prosecution could be turned on them at Trump's request. That is the definition of authoritarian rule. Demand a full congressional investigation into DOJ misconduct under Blanche, and refuse to let this confirmation be treated as business as usual.
