Oppose Funding for Trump's Vanity Arch and Demand Congressional Review

Oppose the funding and construction of Trump's proposed triumphal arch and conduct a full congressional review under the Commemorative Works Act. When asked who this 250-foot monument is for, Trump answered: "Me." That's all you need to know. This is a vanity project, not a public memorial, and it has no place on the National Mall.
The arch would sever the historic sightline between the Lincoln Memorial and Arlington House — a view deliberately designed to symbolize national unity after the Civil War. It would loom over the resting place of 400,000 service members. The Commission of Fine Arts, stacked with Trump's own appointees, received roughly 1,000 public comments and found exactly zero in support. The public comment period with the National Park Service closes July 30 — there is no time to wait. Block the funding and demand a full review before this goes any further.
