Support Five-Point Agenda to Counter Trump's Harmful Policies

I am writing to urge you to take immediate action on five critical areas where Trump's policies are harming Americans and undermining our democratic institutions. First, stand with Ukraine and our European allies. Trump's efforts to accommodate Russia threaten decades of strategic partnerships. Congress must rebuke his threats against Greenland and his tariffs on European allies. Our national security depends on maintaining these relationships. Second, uphold the rule of law in the Caribbean and Pacific. Trump's illegal military strikes require Congressional pushback. Any military action must receive Congressional approval as the Constitution requires. We need accountability for lawbreakers in this administration and immediate withdrawal from Venezuela. Third, roll back Trump's tariffs that are reigniting inflation and devastating small businesses and farmers across the country. These tariffs hurt Main Street, not Wall Street. Congress should also reverse tax cuts to wealthy corporations and rescind the extra ICE funding that enables mass deportations. Fourth, defend our democracy by adopting the Democratic leadership's ten-point plan to rein in ICE. The expansion of detention camps and mass deportations violate our values and tear apart communities. We must protect First Amendment rights, end military deployment on American streets, stop regime corruption, and force compliance on releasing the Epstein files. Free and fair elections depend on these protections. Fifth, fight Trump's war on science and higher education. His cuts to the ACA, Medicaid, and clean energy investments harm millions of Americans. I plan to participate in the National Day of Action on March 7th organized by Stand Up For Science, and I hope you will join this effort. Both Houses of Congress have already voted to repeal Trump's tariffs. The Supreme Court ended his Liberation Day tariffs. These victories show that resistance works. I need you to continue this fight across all five areas. When we push back against Trump's overreach, we get stronger and he gets weaker. Will you commit to advancing this agenda?
