Investigate Miller’s Role in Silencing Critics and Threatening Rights

I am writing as a constituent deeply alarmed by recent reports that senior White House adviser Stephen Miller is directing and coordinating a multi-agency campaign against nonprofit organizations, donors, and advocacy groups critical of the Trump Administration.
According to detailed accounts from officials at the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, and the Treasury Department, Mr. Miller is allegedly overseeing investigations and enforcement actions intended to suppress dissent, revoke tax-exempt status, and criminalize lawful political opposition under the pretext of combating “domestic terrorism.” These actions, if accurate, constitute a profound abuse of executive power and a direct assault on the First Amendment rights to free speech, association, and peaceful protest.
The United States does not—and must not—use the machinery of federal law enforcement and taxation to punish political opponents. Targeting organizations based on ideology, political activity, or donor affiliation represents the kind of government overreach our Constitution was explicitly designed to prevent.
I therefore urge you to:
1. Call for an immediate congressional investigation into Stephen Miller’s role in directing or influencing federal agencies against administration critics.
2. Hold public hearings to examine any political interference in IRS audits, DOJ investigations, or DHS intelligence activities targeting nonprofit or advocacy groups.
3. Reaffirm Congress’s commitment to protecting the constitutional rights of all Americans, regardless of political viewpoint.
I ask you to take a clear stand against this dangerous abuse of power and to ensure that those responsible for weaponizing federal agencies against American citizens are held accountable.
Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter. I look forward to your public statement and action on this issue
