I am writing to demand the immediate impeachment of President Trump for his unauthorized military action in Venezuela and the subsequent capture of Nicolás Maduro. Miller previously claimed that "American sweat, ingenuity and toil created the oil industry in Venezuela" and called its nationalization "the largest recorded theft of American wealth and property." This colonial mindset has no place in American foreign policy. The administration's true motives appear centered on seizing Venezuelan oil assets rather than any legitimate national security concern. Trump is using the American military as his personal force to attack sovereign nations without congressional authorization or international legal justification. Secretary Rubio attempted damage control by clarifying the US would not engage in "day-to-day governing" beyond enforcing an oil blockade, but this admission only confirms the operation's illegal nature. Maduro has been taken to New York on charges, but no legal framework exists for this extraordinary rendition. These are the actions of an authoritarian dictator, not a president bound by constitutional constraints. I urge you to immediately initiate impeachment proceedings and reassert Congress's constitutional authority over military action. Our democracy depends on checking this dangerous expansion of executive power.
