I am writing to point out to you that the U.S. Court of International Trade ruled unanimously yesterday against the regime’s destructive tariff actions, which are wrecking our economy and standing in the world.
More important than that ruling are the words within the judgment.
“Congress manifestly is not permitted to abdicate or to transfer to other(s) the essential legislative functions with which it is thus vested,”
The court is point-blank telling you to stop abdicating your responsibilities to the Constitution and the country by ignoring every lawless and unconstitutional act perpetrated by the president and to start doing your job. You have no right not to do your job.
Your constituents have been begging you to oppose this administration. You were elected and entrusted by your constituents to uphold the Constitution. We have pointed out to you that what he is doing is unconstitutional and unlawful. You have done nothing and have abdicated your responsibility at every opportunity. Stopping the damage being done to our country is within your power. You know your job, yet until now, the Republican Party has blatantly ignored every opportunity to do the right thing.
You have been told. By a court.
You have no right to abdicate your responsibility.
Stop being afraid and stand up for what is right for the people of our country before it is too late.
