Demand Investigation Into Religious Coercion and Unconstitutional War in Iran

I am writing to demand immediate congressional action regarding two urgent constitutional violations: the use of extremist Christian rhetoric by military commanders to justify the Iran war, and the unconstitutional nature of this military operation itself.
The Military Religious Freedom Foundation has received over 200 complaints from service members across all branches alleging that commanders are invoking biblical end times prophecies to characterize the Iran conflict as part of God's divine plan. One noncommissioned officer reported on behalf of 15 troops, including 11 Christians, one Muslim, and one Jewish service member, that their commander urged troops to tell others the war was part of God's divine plan, specifically referencing the Book of Revelation and Armageddon. The commander allegedly stated that President Trump has been anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth.
This represents a clear violation of the separation of church and state. Service members cannot easily challenge their superiors due to the power imbalance inherent in military hierarchy. MRFF president Mikey Weinstein, an air force veteran, reports that complainants describe unrestricted euphoria among commanders who perceive a biblically sanctioned war signaling fundamentalist Christian end times.
The problem extends to the highest levels of military leadership. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has publicly embraced Christian nationalism and endorsed sphere sovereignty, a worldview derived from Christian reconstructionism. He has promoted pastor Doug Wilson, who advocates that women should not hold military leadership positions and desires the nation and world to be Christian. The Pentagon has refused to respond to these complaints.
Beyond the religious coercion issue, this military operation in Iran lacks congressional authorization and violates the Constitution's requirement that Congress declare war. I urge you to immediately launch an investigation into these religious freedom violations, demand accountability from military leadership including Secretary Hegseth, and assert Congress's constitutional authority over war powers by ending this unconstitutional military action.
